ASME
(American Society of Mechanical Engineers : 미국 기계 학회)
-기계학의 발전과 보급을 위하여 1880년에 설립된 학회. 현재는 세계적으로 기술 상호 교류가 확대됨에 따라 국제무대에서 역할이 늘어나 영국, 일본, 독일, 프랑스등 20여 개국의 기계학회와 협력협정을 맺고 있으며, 1988년에는 한국기계학회(KSME)와도 협력협정을 조인하고 학술회의를 공동 개최 하고 있습니다.

ASME BPVC (Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code)
ASME BPVC는 Steam Boiler와 압력 용기류에 대한 설계, 제작, 검사 및 안전등의 제반규정과 지침들을 수록하고 있으며, 내부 연소 엔진, 증기/가스터빈, 제트 로켓엔진은 물론 각종 압력설비, 보일러/냉각설비와 기계설비등에 적용이 되고 있습니다.
